Author Guidelines

1. GENERAL POLICY

Governmentality, Pluralism and Public Policy welcomes original scholarly manuscripts that have not been previously published and are not currently under review or consideration by any other journal or publication. Authors bear full responsibility for the originality, accuracy of data, validity of arguments, and compliance with internationally recognized standards of research and publication ethics.

The journal implements a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, and all forms of academic integrity violations. All submitted manuscripts will be processed through plagiarism detection tools prior to entering the peer review stage.

2. SCOPE AND MANUSCRIPT ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA

Manuscripts considered for publication must meet the following criteria:

  • Substantive relevance to the journal’s focus
  • Clear, original, and significant contribution
  • Strong grounding in current literature
  • Rigorous and transparent methodology
  • Clear academic English writing

Manuscripts failing to meet these criteria will be returned to authors without undergoing peer review (desk rejection).

3. TYPES OF MANUSCRIPTS ACCEPTED

a. Research Articles: Original empirical research with theoretical contribution. Length: 7,000–10,000 words.

b. Theoretical Essays: Conceptual and theoretical development. Length: 6,000–9,000 words.

c. Review Articles: Analytical literature reviews. Length: 7,000–10,000 words.

d. Case Studies: In-depth empirical case analysis. Length: 6,000–9,000 words.

e. Policy Analysis Papers: Public policy evaluation and analysis. Length: 6,000–9,000 words.

4. FORMAT AND MANUSCRIPT STRUCTURE

4.1 General Format

  • Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx)
  • A4, margin 2.54 cm
  • Font: Palatino Linotype, 12 pt
  • Main text: 1.5 spacing
  • Page numbering: bottom center
  • Paragraph indentation: 1.27 cm

4.2 Manuscript Structure

  • Title (max. 15 words)
  • Abstract (200–250 words)
  • Keywords (5–7 words)
  • Introduction
  • Methods
  • Results and Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • Ethics Statement (if applicable)
  • Conflict of Interest
  • Acknowledgments (optional)

5. TITLE, AUTHOR NAME, AND AFFILIATION

5.1 Title

Must be clear, specific, and informative.

5.2 Author Names

  • Full names without titles
  • Order reflects contribution
  • Corresponding author marked with *

5.3 Affiliation

Include institution, city, and country.

5.4 ORCID

Strongly recommended.

6. CITATION STYLE AND REFERENCES

APA 7th Edition is used.

6.1 In-Text Citations

  • (Smith, 2021)
  • (Smith & Jones, 2021)
  • (Smith et al., 2021)
  • Direct quote includes page number

6.2 Reference List

  • Alphabetical order
  • Hanging indentation
  • DOI required
  • No non-academic sources
