Islamic Law and Social Issues in Society (ILSIIS) is a peer-reviewed and open-access journal published by Tuah Foundation Indonesia. It constitutes two issues in one year (August and February).
Islamic Law and Social Issues in Society (ILSIIS) is an international academic journal dedicated to exploring social issues in society related to Islamic law at the global, regional, national, and local levels. It aims to offer a comprehensive analysis of the interplay between Islamic law and social issues in society with put emphasis on the contextualization of Islamic law in contemporary Muslim and non-Muslim Society. The journal covers a broad scope, including Islamic Family Law, Islamic Economic Law, Islamic Criminal Law, Islamic Civil Law, Islamic Constitutional Law, Fatwa Studies, and Islamic Legal Theory.
Principally, the journal's editorial policy is to favour contributions which will be of interest to a wide cross-section of its readership - contributions which, if specialized, nevertheless serve to bring out matters of broader interest or importance within their specialization. However, articles which are not included in the area of law and social sciences are not covered and out of the scope of this journal.
